Sheriff Boyd reminds the public to lock their vehicles

The Barry County Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public to keep their vehicles locked and to NOT leave valuables (i.e. money, medication, purses) in your vehicle.

Sheriff Danny Boyd advises everyone to lock your vehicles, do not leave your vehicle running and unattended while you are running in somewhere like the gas station or store, because it will get stolen.  Sheriff Boyd advises everyone to lock up your sheds, garages and houses.  He states that inflation and rising fuel prices has led to numerous thefts of vehicles, break-ins of garages, outdoor sheds, and vacation homes.  If you see something that looks suspicious call 911 and report it.
