Several Thefts in Shell Knob Area

 The Barry County Sheriff’s Office has responded to several calls in Shell Knob within the last 4 weeks. Three businesses reported their outside air conditioner units stolen around the 21^st of January.   The Kornerstone’s Building had a 5 ton Amana air conditioner unit stolen and the Ozark Heating and Air Building which is located next to the Kornerstone’s Building had a 2 ½ ton Ruud Heat Pump Stolen.  The Jug N Plug also reported around the same time that someone had stolen their two outside air conditioner units as well.  Sheriff Mick Epperly states that thieves steal outside air conditioner units and sell them at scrap yards.  Not only are these thieves stealing air conditioner units but we have had two reports of catalytic converters being cut from cars which are also taken to scrap yards for money. Other areas of the county are also experiencing the same type of thefts.  Sheriff Mick Epperly states that if anyone has information regarding these thefts in the Shell Knob area to please contact the Sheriff’s Office.  Any information you give will remain anonymous.
