SCAM ALERT

Barry County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints on individuals trying to scam them by contacting them by phone and saying they have won a large sum of money and then they will ask them to send money in to them before you can actually receive this.

Another one going around is through your email saying that they are requesting you to contact them so they can leave their inheritance to you.     

Sheriff Epperly advises not to give any of your personal information over the phone and if they request money in advance do not do it.
