Couple Arrested for Stealing

On March 15th 2022 the Barry County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Cassville Police Department received a report of two people stealing items from a Westco delivery truck. The two, male and female was using a U-Haul box truck to steal and make their getaway.

Shortly after the call was dispatched, Sheriff Danny Boyd located and stopped the U-Haul on Farm Road 2140. Sheriff Boyd identified Jeremy and Jamie Fenley as the occupants and the suspects of the alleged theft. Both, Jeremy and Jamie were taken into custody and transported to the Barry County Jail.  The U-Haul was towed to the Sheriff's Office and secured.

Barry County Sheriff's Office Detective Doug Henry executed a search warrant on the U-Haul box truck, recovering sixteen property items. Some of the stolen items were from Westco and a local resident. The property was returned to its rightful owners.  Also located were four drug related items.

Furthermore, on March 16th 2022, Detective Henry executed a search warrant on the residence of Jeremy and Jamie Fenley in the Shell Knob area. Twenty-three more stolen items were recovered, including a large China set which were returned back to the owner.

An estimated amount of stolen property of $6,396 was recovered from the Fenleys.

Jeremy was also linked to a stolen U-Haul out of Lawrence County that was located in the close proximity to Jermey's residence, approximately four weeks prior, by finding stolen property in this U-Haul that connected the two cases.

Jeremy and Jamie Fenley are both being held at the Barry County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond for possession of a controlled substance and stealing charges.
