A man allegedly shot at the vehicles of the owner and employee of the Peking Restaurant Thursday during an attempted armed robbery.
On Thursday at about 9:06 p.m., Monett Lawrence County Communications received a 911 call in reference to an attempted robbery, involving shots being fired, at Peking Restaurant, located at 535 E. Cleveland in Monett, MO.
The owner of the restaurant and an employee had closed the business and were leaving in separate vehicles.
The owner was approached by a tall, thin white male, clean shaven, wearing a black stocking cap, black coat and gloves. The suspect came up to the driver's side of the vehicle and demanded money. The employee also saw the subject at the owner's van.
